Victor Erik Olof Hedman is a Swedish professional ice hockey defenseman and alternate captain for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL.
The Lightning picked Hedman with the second overall pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
Hedman, who is regarded as one of the top defensemen in the NHL, has advanced to the James Norris Memorial Trophy final five times before winning it in 2018.
With the Lightning, Hedman won back-to-back Stanley Cups in 2020 and 2021. He also took home the Conn Smythe Trophy for playoff MVP in 2020.
